A Family’s Dream, Realised
Grand Aurora began as a single vision held by the Aurora family — to bring the warmth of Kerala’s homestay tradition into a setting worthy of the world’s great hotels. In 1999 they chose a slender plot on Marine Drive, where the backwaters meet the city, and spent four years building not just a hotel but a landmark.
Today, the hotel remains family-owned and family-led. The same hands that poured the foundation now guide the next generation, ensuring that the soul of Grand Aurora — its care, its craft, its quiet pride — never dims.
